Challenge
The team at Montana Labelle Design needed a website that both displayed their portfolio of interior design projects and allowed visitors to purchase hand-selected furniture and art.

Process
Given that the client is an interior design company, the process began with research internally and externally: internally to understand how they define their design style and externally to learn how other competitors are positioning and structuring their online portfolios. Understanding the landscape and where Montana Labelle fit within it was key to positioning the brand's digital experience within it.
In this research, we also found that most customers were searching for designers on social media platforms (Instagram, Pintrest, etc.) so the website wouldn't be the primary driver of leads. Instead, we planned to leverage the eCommerce side of the business to convert home shoppers into potential interior design leads.
Following this, the website development structure was implemented: information architecture development > mockups > wireframe > UI design > development > revision > deployment.
Result
The output of our research and design efforts was a beautifully designed eCommerce site that put their eCommerce first and the design portfolio second while still being simple to navigate between the two.
